I am an eleven year veteran of the Hydrographic Surveying branch of the British Royal Navy.  Having completed my service time I joined Schlumberger Ltd., the leader in the oilfield services industry, from where I recently retired after thirty years.  I have lived in Houston for more than twenty six years, am married to a Texan, and have two teenage children, one of whom is a freshman at Texas A&M in College Station.
